THIS POST IS ABOUT SPIDERS. DON'T LOOK IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM.
So there's this spider that appeared outside our window at the beginning of the month. Little One saw it first. She was so freaked out and then I saw it and realized how huge it was (the picture doesn't show at all how big it really is) and I freaked out too. I told Mr. Charming to get it down but there's really nothing he can do since we live on the third floor and the window doesn't open far enough and there's a screen.
ANYWAYS, I thought it would leave after a couple days, but it's still there. It made it's huge web and it goes away sometimes and shows up mostly at night. I caught it in the daytime though last weekend and tried to take a photo and video. The white part in the photo is the poor sucker who got caught in the web and it's all rolled up ready to be eaten. The video is of the spider carrying it up rolling it still or something - I don't know what it's doing but it's creepy and I make sure it's there every night before I go to sleep. I am not trying to have it come into my home...not that it could fit.
Spider's creep me out and I hope he leaves soon :/
I'd like you all to meet Bianca from Me, Myself, and... She has an adorable family and was a teen mom just like me! Her blog is about her life and her beautiful children. Check out the interview I did with her below:
1. How did you and your husband meet?
James and I met via his sister who I was friends with. She jokingly said "you should meet up with my brother " So I did. We went on a date and he made me laugh so much my stomach hurt! He's Handsome too.
2. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging as a way to improve my spelling and punctuation (although it hasn't) I had gotten into terrible habits as a teenager. I started text typing and abbreviating everything. It got to the point where I was doing it when I wasn't texting, out of habit. I couldn't even read what I'd wrote! That needed to change. I started documenting my pregnancy with Willow. I soon started to love my little space on the web and now ramble on about everything.
3. What is one of your favorite things about being a mom?
If I could take away the dirty nappies and the constant tidying up toys I'd say everything! I love my little people. I love who they were, are and who they'll become. I love that I helped them be that person. I love tiny arms wrapped around my neck. I love it when they say outrageously embarrassing things in public. I love being a mom.
4. I read that you have 6 tattoos. Which one is the most meaningful for you?
The dream catcher I have on my back. Its a reminder that I can do it. Get that life I dreamed of .
5. Random Question: What song is stuck in your head right now?
These are the things I really love. When Little One wants to play with both mommy and daddy. On this day she put us both on our bed, massaged our backs for two seconds and then told us we were going to go night night. She gave us her blanket, shut the door, and kissed us both on the head. It was so cute and I love how she likes to mimic things like this.
It is SUPER hard to tell what's going on here and blurry, but Little One is massaging our backs in her Cinderella outfit. Also, that's my natural hair color - it's dark and I'm pale.
What are the little things that you are grateful for?
Recently I've become interested in geometric shapes. I think they are super cool when "done" the right way if you know what I mean. I found this super cute shop on Etsy called Asleep From Day! Check out below some of the amazing handmade items found there:
click each picture to go to that item on Etsy.
Check out her website HERE where she shows you how she makes the deer plate!
Mr. Charming had duty on Sunday, so Little One and I went to Target so I could get a couple things with my leftover gift cards from my birthday. I couldn't help but get this cute ice cream parlor set for Little One. I mean come on...
You can mix and match and scoop them up and make a banana split!
First we took some pictures!
Then we got to the good part...yum!
Then she pretended to go to sleep because it was a hard day at "work"!
Then Unicorn and Tiger got to drink some water out of the bowls.
I love how Little One gets super excited to play with me. She has such a great imagination and it's so fun to hear what comes out of her mouth. She's growing up way too fast!
Last weekend, Mr. Charming volunteered to work at the Oceana Air Show which is a big event around here. The day after he volunteered, we all decided to go just for fun. It was free and open to the public. We went with some of our friends and had a lot of fun going in bounce houses, shopping at the tents, and of course watching the show especially the Blue Angels!
Here are some pictures from the day (unfortunately no pictures of the planes...they're on our friend's camera because mine died!)
Stopped by the Home Depot tent and Little One made a basket with daddy!
You know it was a good day when they passed out before you even get out of the parking lot.
Mr. Charming and I are in the process of finding a new place to live! We can't stand our tiny apartment in a not so good part of the neighborhood. Of course we aren't here that much, but still it would be nice to come home to a place where you WANT to be. I hope with whatever place we get next we can really decorate it how we like since we'll be here a couple more years.
Of course most of you are fans of Pinterest and are on it everyday like I am. I love to repin and do some of the activities especially ones for Little One. For example we made cloud dough a couple weeks ago:
As some of you know or don't know, I work at a preschool with the itty bitty babies. I take care of 4-8 babies each day with one other teacher. Before the new school year started last week, I was working by myself in a tiny room with 3 of the overflow babies that they didn't have room for in the "real" infant room. It was really stressful because I work 10 (really 11 with a break) hours a day 4 days a week and being in the tiny room with 3 babies all day makes you want to go crazy. I seriously longed to have someone to talk to, to not be forgot about because I'm the overflow room, and be able to go outside.
As I said before the new year started last week after labor day and I am now in the infant room with other people and not by myself. Of course it's still stressful but I like having adult interaction. Also, it's super nice to have Little One is such a good preschool while I'm right down the hallway. I get one day off each week so I don't have overtime and Monday's were the day they gave me and I'm super excited about it. It's an extra long weekend to catch up on sleep (from waking up at 5am and getting home at 7)!
Today Little One and I went outside in the GORGEOUS weather and collected some leaves and sticks for a project she has to do this week! We also cleaned and did some small little things.
Little One's outfit doesn't quite match but she picked it out and I figured it's a comfy cozy day so why not wear sweats.
